In order to make our work transparent according to standardised criteria, we have joined the Transparent Civil Society Initiative and are committed to making the following information available to the public and keeping it up to date. 2. statutes & goals​
Our aim is to ensure humane basic care for particularly vulnerable refugees. Through our partnership model, we enable individual needs-based help. We are the point of contact for the concerns and needs of people seeking protection and work with them to find solutions to their problems. In this way, we enable them to lead a more self-determined life.

3. information on tax privileges
We are exempt from corporation tax in accordance with Section 5 (1) No. 9 KStG and from trade tax in accordance with Section 3 No. 6 GewStG due to the promotion of aid for politically, racially or religiously persecuted persons, refugees and displaced persons (Section 52 (2) Sentence 1 No. 10 AO) in accordance with the current exemption notice (link to current exemption notice here) from the Hamburg-Nord tax office.

6. staff structure
We do not employ any paid staff or freelancers. All work is carried out by members of the organisation on a voluntary basis. Insofar as the association's financial resources permit, members or board members may be paid an annual honorary allowance in the amount of the applicable tax-free maximum amount (currently € 840). If such amounts are paid, they are recognised separately in the annual financial statements.

Our income comes from unrestricted and earmarked donations and membership fees and can be found in the annual financial statements and activity report on page 1.

We use our income for hardship support, individual support and the promotion of other organisations.
